Donate Your Hotel Toiletries To Help Women In Need

Renee Rouleau's mint buffing beads with fuzzy jars behind

Updated 12/22/14. For many people who travel for both work and pleasure, this mean staying in hotels. Most hotel bathrooms are stocked with toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.  Who doesn’t love stashing these items away in their personal travel bag for future use? Although, you may intend to eventually use them, many times, they just tend to accumulate.

If you have an overabundance of toiletries from hotel stays or even a collection of small free gift items from department stores, instead of just hoarding and storing them for some unforeseen future use, donate them!

Many women’s shelters will gladly accept these travel-sized items! When a woman who has been affected by domestic violence goes into a shelter to seek safety, she literally arrives with only the clothes on her back and your hotel toiletries can be put to good use…

At Renée Rouleau Skin Care Spas, we offer our Cosmetic Donation Program where you’re invited to send your unused/gently used makeup, skin care or beauty products to The Family Place and they will gladly donate them to the women in need. It’s wonderful to know that you are helping to make a difference in another woman’s life. Send donations to The Family Place, P.O. Box 7999, Dallas, Texas, 75209. [NOTE: As of June 18, 2015, The Family Place in Dallas, TX no longer accepts gently used skin care, body or cosmetic products, only unused items. However, we encourage you to check with other shelters in your area to see if they will accept gently used donations.]
