Salicylic Acid- It’s a keratolytic beta hydroxy acid (BHA) famous for its ability to smooth the skin without causing irritation, reduce acne-causing bacteria and oil to prevent blemishes, all while penetrating the pores to help clear out impurities (making it also excellent for preventing blackheads after a deep pore cleansing facial). You’ll usually find Salicylic Acid in cleansers and moisturizers formulated for skins prone to break outs, as well as in acne spot treatments. It’s a fabulous ingredient with proven results in reducing blemishes.
Here are the Renée Rouleau products that contain Salicylic Acid: …
AHA/BHA Cleansing Gel – dual action formula to promote clearer skin
Tea Tree Anti-Blemish Lotion – a cooling blend of anti-bacterial ingredients to lessen acne break outs
Triple Berry Smoothing Peel – a powerful blend of acids and enzymes to exfoliate and smooth the skin
Daytime Blemish Gel – spot treatment that puts an invisible seal over blemishes, for use under makeup

Generally speaking, those with clogged pores and acne breakouts will benefit from Salicylic Acid. If you are pregnant, it is not recommended to use products containing Salicylic Acid.
