Hyaluronic Acid – It’s a component of your skin’s own natural tissue that is frequently used in skin care products as a good skin-identical ingredient, since the skin responds and accepts it easily into the skin. It’s a bioactive hydrating ingredient to bind 1000 times its weight in moisture to the skin and commonly found in toners (alcohol-free), specialty serums, moisturizers and eye creams. It’s also known as Sodium Hyaluronate and has been used for years and continues to be one of the most commonly used skin-hydrating ingredients. With continued use, skin’s water content improves daily and fine lines and wrinkles become plumper and therefore less visible.
It is also used as an injectable by dermatologists for filling in lines and wrinkles since the body doesn’t really see it as a foreign substance since it’s found in our own bodies.

Can I mix hyaluronic acid serum and vitamin c serum together or do I put them on one after the other or one in morning and one at night? Can I use a collagen gel or cream on top ? Confused.

Hi Kim, A vitamin C Serum is best used on its own under sunscreen/moisturizer during the day since it’s designed to protect your skin from daily environmental damage. At night, use a hyaluronic acid serum to give the skin moisture and repair. Use it under a moisturizer.
