Why Does My Skin Look Better After a Good Night’s Sleep?

There is no doubt that getting enough sleep every night can offer many skin benefits. Sleep can reduce dark circles because a lack of sleep compromises your body’s circulatory system and you get stagnant blood in the vessels under the eyes because it hasn’t properly drained. Sleep can also make your skin glow because a lack of sleep causes the skin to look pale and tired because the circulation has been impaired…

It’s so important to get a good night’s sleep because sleep deprivation also causes stress, which can aggravate all skin conditions, including acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Bottom line: when you are tired, you look tired so get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night!

  2. This is SO true. I just finished my dissertation, and for the first time in months I’m actually getting enough sleep at night. It’s truly amazing how much better my skin is looking and acting! The wrinkles that appeared deepset, have faded away, and my acne has seriously calmed down. Sleep truly is the best medicine.
