Daily Nutrition Tips

1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER!

Water helps to flush out many toxins we consume, and keeps our joints lubricated and our skin looking young.

2. EAT MORE GOOD FAT!

Fats made by Mother Nature help to keep our skin soft and smooth, our nails from splitting, and our brains working better.

3. GRAZE – DON’T GORGE!

We were made to eat less food more frequently. Eat a minimum of three meals a day, but five small meals are ideal!

4. MOVE YOUR BODY!

We rust out faster than we wear out! Our bodies were meant to move. Walk, swim, do yoga – the exercise you like is the exercise you will stick with.

5. BERRIES ARE THE BEST!

For great fiber and even greater antioxidant support, all kinds of berries are great to eat. Fresh or frozen, just do it!

6. EAT COLOR IN YOUR DIET!

The more color we eat, the greater variety of antioxidants and nutrients we obtain from our foods. Purple grapes, yellow squash, oranges, and red apples are all good choices.

7. USE FLAXSEEDS FOR THE BEST FIBER YET!

Ground flaxseeds put into your yogurt or smoothie can add good fat and also great fiber. Only 2 tablespoons every day can make a world of difference.

8. EAT WHAT APPEALS TO YOU – BUT IN MODERATION!

Nutrition is not about martyrdom – but it is about eating in moderation. Sometimes those cravings are what the body needs, and sometimes they aren’t!

9. AVOID MOST GRAINS IF YOU CAN!

Many of us have an intolerance to wheat products, especially refined wheat. So reduce those crackers, pasta, cookies, and snacks. You may find that you have more energy and less bloating and intestinal disturbances.

10. LISTEN TO YOUR INTUITION!

If your intuition is saying, “I shouldn’t eat this,” then don’t eat it! Your intuition knows better than your taste buds or stomach.
