During the recent 2013 Golden Globes Awards show, I was live Tweeting and posting on our FaceBook page my opinions, as well as tips on how to achieve beautiful celebrity skin. For red carpet events, celebrities want their hair, attire and makeup to look perfect, but clear, glowing skin is important to them too because it complements what they are wearing and how they are styled.

While there were many gorgeous people in attendance, in my opinion, Lucy Liu had the most flawless face. I love that she had her hair pulled away from her face. To me it showed that she’s confident about her skin and wanted to show if off–not hide under her hair. Her pores appear small, which gives her a really smooth skin texture and her skin looks very even-toned so she most likely protects herself from the sun daily. Since she is Asian, Lucy has a lot of genetic traits that contribute to why she looks so young at age 44 and is aging well. What are those genetic traits? I also thought Lucy’s makeup looked amazing. I could tell she was using light-reflecting makeup (I’m not sure which brand) that really made her skin glow. Having good skin underneath is so important, but never underestimate how important it is to use good good glow-enhancing makeup (appropriate for your skin type). Whatever you’re doing to your skin Lucy, keep it up!
