There are two types of rays—UVA and UVB. The UVB rays (the ones that cause your skin to burn or tan) aren’t as strong in the winter months, therefore your skin is at less risk for a sunburn. The UVA rays (the ones that cause skin aging and skin cancer) are approximately the same strength year round and can penetrate through clouds. Sunscreen blocks out the harmful UV rays that cause loss of elasticity, premature aging, skin cancer, dark spots, damaged capillaries etc. Sunscreen is a must whether you’re laying out at the beach, driving in your car on a winter day or working inside your office near windows. Don’t forget that the number one reason why you will ever get a wrinkle is due to sun exposure, both direct and incidental! There are many products that can significantly repair and improve the look of your skin, but prevention is always the best bet. It is so easy to apply a good UVA/UVB broad spectrum sunscreen moisturizer that will keep you both protected, safe and youthful-looking when worn 365 days a year, rain or shine, inside and out. So if you’re looking for the world’s best anti-aging product, look no further than sunscreen… Did you know? Zinc Oxide (found in Daily Protection SPF 30) provides the broadest spectrum of coverage among UV filters currently approved by the FDA.
