For maximum results, apply your skin care products after cleansing in order of viscosity. There is a method to applying from the thinnest to thickest.
- Toner is has a consistency similar to water and should be applied first.
- Next, apply your serum, which is similar to a thin gel.
- Finally, add your thick cream moisturizer.
The reason to do it in this order is because the toner is a liquid and acts as a carrier to deliver the serum deeper into the skin. The moisturizer, being the thickest, is the final layer to provide protection and act as a sealant to hold the other products into the skin.
