lydia_skincaretipsI have rosacea. Because my I’m Irish, I’m prone to this condition. So in addition to using the right products for my red, sensitive skin, I also must incorporate certain lifestyle habits to keep the redness under control. One way I do this is to use cooler water on my skin when washing my face. If I’m in the shower, of course I like hot water, but when I’m actually washing my face under the shower head, I’ll turn it cooler and that really seems to keep my skin from getting so red.

Have you found that cooler water helps minimize redness in your skin?

  1. Lydia, I’ve read that hot water isn’t good for anyone, regardless of skin color. While water on the hotter side feels good, and I’m guilty of it, I’ve read it’s very drying -for skin as well as hair.

Thank you for the post! :)
